Bebop Stripe Red Gable Box
Trevor Paper Gift Bag
The easiest way to tame an unusual shape is by
using a gift box or bag. What could be simpler? Just
make sure you use enough
tissue to conceal and
shield your gift, and finish by tying on a coordinating

ribbon or two. No more paper/tape fiascos, and
everyone will think your aesthetic is genius.

Are you out of nice gift bags, but don't want to rely on a purchase from the drugstore in a pinch? We don't blame you.
There's nothing wrong with getting creative, and the results can be fantastic. The trick is to have your finished piece
look intentional, and not thrown together. Here are some ideas to get you started:

Create A Box

While generally you want to avoid wrapping gifts in shipping boxes or ratty cardboard, you can recycle a sturdy
shoe box or other lidded container by wrapping the pieces separately to create a two-piece gift box. Be sure to
use double sided tape on all edges and seams so the paper stays put!
For Long Items

A good way to shape up a lengthy gift is to roll it up! Assuming the item isn't too delicate, create a "tube" by rolling
it up in gift paper - twice around should be enough. Make sure the paper is just the length of the item, and use
double-sided tape to secure the seam. Then, roll a wider sheet of clear cellophane or
tissue around the outside
and tie the ends with ribbon where the paper tube stops - just like a Tootsie Roll!
