layering

Combining multiple layers of coordinating papers,
tissues, or ribbons creates a unique effect.

	Paper
	Wrap a thick slice of coordinating paper around the outside of your already wrapped package and fasten on the bottom with double sided tape, or use a more narrow slice for a more subtle effect.
	Ribbons
	Start with a very wide ribbon and layer another one or two in diminishing thickness on top, for a fantastic look. Or, curl two strands of ribbon together for a multi-dimensional spring.
	Tissue
	When using coordinating tissue colors and prints in bags or boxes, try to give them different heights (like a flower arrangement) so that all the hues are visible.
